Chinese Community Foundation of Western New York Launches Survey on Community Center Needs, Building a Future Community Space Together

[Western New York Region] – Chinese Community Foundation of Western New Yorkannounced today the launch of a 10-day community center needs survey, which will run from March 22 to March 31, 2025. Focusing on the regional Chinese community, this survey seeks to gain in-depth understanding of community members’ needs and expectations for a future community center, facilitating better planning and development of this open, inclusive, and multifunctional space.
Chinese Community Foundation of Western New Yorkwas established in 2022, dedicated to providing infrastructure for the community’s long-term development, promoting collaboration among community organizations, and accumulating resources for the younger generation of Chinese Americans. The foundation believes that the community center will serve as a vital platform, integrating resources from within and outside the community, addressing the shortcomings of scattered services and lack of cross-cultural understanding, and better meeting the diverse needs of the Chinese community, including both new and long-time residents.
Survey Details:
- Online Survey: Available from Saturday, March 22, to Monday, March 31, via the foundation’s official website’s link, or social media platforms.
- Paper Survey: Available on-site at the Buffalo Chinese School on Saturday, March 22, and Saturday, March 29. All interested community members are welcome to participate.
- Gift Card Reward：the first 300 participants will receive eGift card reward if finishing the survey by March 31st (contact information, including email address or phone number, is required to receive the reward.)
The survey will cover areas such as community engagement, community service needs, and expectations. The results will directly influence the foundation’s communication with government at all levels, sponsoring businesses, and donors, and provide essential data for the planning and development of the future community center, benefiting every community member who may use it.
