Community Needs Series – Unit 8 of 8: Closing and Call to Action

Help Us Build

Eight weeks ago, we invited to hear the voices of our community. Two hundred and twenty-four voices of your neighbors. Honestly, completely, and one piece at a time.

Today we close that promise. The full 2025 Survey report is now available.

What We Learned

This community is stable and rooted. It is committed to integrate and honest about its struggles. It needs a physical home, language access, practical referrals, and programs for every generation. It has one-third of its members ready to get involved who haven’t yet found the door. And it has been patient long enough.

What Comes Next

The Chinese Community Foundation of Western New York is now moving from research to action. We are pursuing a permanent location, developing program partnerships, and building a fundraising plan to make it real. None of this happens without the community it is designed to serve.

We invite you to fill a simple questionnaire and tell us how you want to help us.

  • Attend our meetings: Come and hear where we are in the process and weigh in on what matters most to you.
  • Contribute your time or connection: Your volunteer time, skill, and connection can be catalytic for good changes to happen
  • Support the work financially: Every contribution, at any level, brings the center closer to opening its doors.
  • Share this series: Forward our emails or posts to one (or more) people who should know about this work. So far, our website has had more than 1,000 visitors, but the community is larger than that.
  • Stay connected: This newsletter will continue to report on our progress — site selection, programming development, partnerships, milestones, among other interesting things about the community. You will hear from us on a regular basis.

You can also reach out to us via email: contact@ccfwny.org.

The data is clear. The need is real. The community is ready.

Now we build.
